PROFILE OF HIV/AIDS PATIENTS COINFECTED WITH TUBERCULOSIS IN IBNU SINA DISTRICT HOSPITAL, GRESIK,EAST JAVA, INDONESIA

Background: HIV/AIDS cases continue to increase globally. A person with a weak immune system, especially people HIV/AIDS, is very susceptible various diseases, such as tuberculosis. Tuberculosis infection can be associated HIV-positive individuals, which caused by damage cellular immunity due the reduced number and function of CD4 cells. Purpose: To determine profile patients TB coinfection based on values in RSUD Ibnu Sina Gresik. Method: The method used observational analytical cross-sectional. Patients HIV were recapitulated from Case Report Form (CRF). results are presented frequency distribution table. Result: study obtained information about 36 co-infected cases. <200 cells/mm3 35 (97.22%), most them age group 20-60 years (97.22%). Male (83.33 %) dominate compared female (16.67%). duration occurs less than one month, 21 (58.33%). Conclusion: that more dominant men, highest being 20 - 60 years.
